With the season to be merry fast approaching we took it upon ourselves to produce a guide to some of our favourite bars, pubs and general watering holes in Yorkshire where you can enjoy a festive tipple while taking in the beautiful décor, including some of our lighting!
Monk Bar – Sheffield
Located on the vibrant Ecclesall Road (Eccy Road to the locals) this cool little cocktail bar allows you to live a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget with their famous 2 for 1 cocktail menu. The Counting House – Doncaster
Doncaster’s newest wine bar is the ideal place to meet friends and drink in a welcoming setting whilst paying homage to the building’s origins as The National Westminster Bank. Enjoy live music from local artists whilst knocking back the eggnog.
The Refectory – Leeds
Based at the Northern Monk Brew Co. brewery, the tap room features 16 keg lines, 2 cask lines and an extensive bottle selection showcasing the beer brewed on site. Take part in one of their brewery tours to see how the beer’s made and take a bottle away with you!
The Fossgate Social – York
This small but perfectly formed bar is snuggled away in York’s foodie quarter. The relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect place to enjoy a hot mulled wine as you sit in the window and watch the hordes of shoppers pass by.
NYC Bar & Grill – Hull
With over 30 different made to order cocktails and mocktails this is the place to go both over the festive period and Dry January! Try the bottled beers imported from across the pond to experience an authentic taste of America in this industrial setting.
